A dermatologist is a doctor who, after five years of working in general medicine, went on to undergo at least three more years of intensive, specialised medical and surgical training in dermatology; making him/her the most qualified doctor to treat your skin problems safely and effectively.
Try to come bare-faced without makeup, so that a clear view of your skin can be seen. Bring along the skincare products that you are currently using or medications that you are currently taking, so that the dermatologist can determine their effects on your skin, if any. If you’ve had a past diagnosis of your skin, bring along your relevant medical records as well.
